My WordPress Updates dont seems to get the information that it is a new version available for upgrade. I dont know way it dont get any information about that.

I've been using a real-time gold price widget in one of my articles. The title of the article is like - Gold price on February 15 2012. I want to change the date part of the title meta automatically- on next day it should be February 16 2012 without altering "Gold Price on" part. Can you you suggest a plugin/hack to enable this feature in WordPress.

Hello! I'm currently trying to get my Wordpress website live.
I built it under http://www.domain.com/wordpress, and now I'm trying to move it simply to http://www.domain.com.
I've been following the section within these instructions entitled "Using a pre-existing subdirectory instal".
I get stuck at the bit where it says:
Change the line that says:
require( dirname( __FILE__ ) . '/wp-blog-header.php' );
to the following, using your directory name for the WordPress core files:
require( dirname( __FILE__ ) . '/wordpress/wp-blog-header.php' );
I'm not quite sure I understand this. All I've done is copied the new line, like they say, and replaced it - so it's exactly require( dirname( __FILE__ ) . '/wordpress/wp-blog-header.php' );.
Is there something else I need to change in the line? What does it mean by "using your directory name for the Wordpress core files" - that suggests I need to change something else, but I don't know what...
Just pasting it exactly has got every page to work on my website, apart from the Homepage, which throws up a 403 and 404 error. But then when I click "save" on the permalink section in the dashboard, I lose everything again...
I'd appreciate any help, as I've been trying to figure this out for days! My gut feeling is, either I've missed something in the instructions or it's to do with the permalinks.

Cheryl on "Wordpress White Screen after doing anything..."
I'm stumped.....
This is what it's doing:
the site I have... is going to a white screen... after I do any kind of action.... the data is saved... but goes to white screen so, you hit save... it saves then goes to white screen... you update a plugin -- it updates and goes to white screen....
I have tried everything I can think of... it's not a plugin issue... well turn them off and same thing happening. I have tried switching themes does not fix it either.
anyone have ideas?

I updated Wordpress to 4.2.4 3 days back. Since then I have been not able to customize (Appearance -> Customize) my theme. When I click on it I get the following error:

Can anyone help me with this? I re-installed the Wordpress too but it didn't work!!

Since the upgrade strangely just one of the forms I have in Cforms II won't do anything when you hit the submit button. I've compared settings to other forms that still work and they're the same. Any ideas?

I've been sending my newsletters to outlook and forward them from there. Before, I had to use the "send now" button on the news letters but it's been removed. Now, newsletters wont send at all, I have a few that have been que'd to send for weeks. I've tried using the "send preview" but the links don't work properly when I do. Any advice would be helpful.

I have WordPress installed on a number of websites and with a number of different hosts.
I am getting extended periods of time when I can't get into the wp-admin area with messages saying the site is unavailable. It seems to go up and down every few minutes - and then the next day it seems to be resolved but may happen again a few days later.
I have contacted the hosts and they cannot see a problem and suggest it is something connected with WordPress.
Has anyone else had this issue ? I am losing days of work at the moment due to not being able to get into wp-admin so any advice would be appreciated.
The fact it is happening at the same time on sites with different hosts leads me to believe it is something that I have installed that is causing the problem.

Hi all - I'm pretty new to this so a bit of patience will be appreciated.
I have a woocommerce theme (Storefront) installed and have added all my products, but with playing around with the theme, I've managed to somehow delete all the important pages like the Shopping Cart, Shop, My Account, etc. I still have them on the menu, but the pages are gone. How do I get them back?! I've tried deactivating/deleting the theme and reinstalling/activating but they don't come back. I really need to get my products up and the the site running by next Wednesday!
Any help and advice is appreciated,

Really bummed about this -- when I click "continue reading" on a blog entry or any blog title on my blog, it just reloads the homepage. I've tried in multiple browsers and I've tried to clear cache. I've also tried multiple themes (my current White House theme and the Twenety Eleven WordPres official theme) and still no luck.

The only time this *does* work is when I'm logged in as an admin -- then I click on a page title or "continue reading" and it works. It wasn't always this way, but I'm unsure exactly when it changed. No more than a month ago. All that's changed with my site since then is automatic WordPress updates.

I've tried to select an edited image for my feature image and it won't show on the website once I've posted. I read in the forum over a year ago that this was going to be fixed in the next update. It wasn't.
It has taken me 4 days to figure out why my feature image wouldn't post. When is this problem going to be fixed?

I am not the original creator of the website so I do not have any files on my computer. It makes no sense that I would need any files to change this, but either way, it's not working.

I was on my site earlier today, around 3:30 PM and did not make any structural changes to site. All I did was update some content. I went to login later using Safari and received a notice that Safari could not find the server.
I tried moving the site to another host which did not work and I then moved the site back to its original host (I already know this was probably a bad idea, don't need to be told it.)
When I go here:

I am trying to change the text on my password protected page. I used the code below which I found in a different Forum post. It changed the text perfectly, but it also made my password entry boxes unusable. The password entry boxes will not recognize the correct password when I use this code--all it does is refresh the page. So, is there another code I should use or can someone alter this code to ensure that the password entry boxes let users into the page rather than refreshing the page?

knucleheads on "SQL Crash? How to limit?"
Hello everyone,
I have a one-page site (for now... in the future, it will expand).
I visit the site every week or so... and it often happens, that it is down.
The message is the popular
Error establishing a database connection.
I ssh into the server, shut down apache... restart sql, then start apache.
After that, all is good.
Until the next time it crashes again.
The server is very small... it's a two-core, 256MB ram VPS running Ubuntu Server.
Nothing else other than WordPress (and SQL) runs on that server.
I was wondering what can I do to limit this crash?
What suggestions can I follow?
Looking forward to your feedback... I am not sure what to do with this problem.
