cms2043 on "Adding Date to Below Post Title"

Hello,
I'm having some trouble adding the date to below my post titles.
My site is demo.thepaisleybox.com

I've tried to use the code that I found here in the forum including <span class="postDate"><?php the_time('F j, Y'); ?> in <?php the_category(', ') ?></span>
with no luck.

Can someone help with the code and placement in order to do this?
