dsilk on "Email from Contact page not going to the mailbox."

I have a Contact Us page on my website for visitors to send email enquiries from, however the mailbox is with a different hosting company than the website.
Despite putting in the email address on the page in the Wordpress panel no email is coming through to the website's inbox or any of the forwarding addresses.
Is there something I am doing wrong as this seems to be a very simple thing.
