intbooks on "CVS import not adding in the SKU"

I am having trouble importing data using csv import.
Both Import Products and Merge Products refuse to add in the SKU.
I have exported manually added products, then deleted them and re-imported the csv using both methods - but in all cases the SKU does not import.
