nashrul123 on "How to remove "Leave a Reply" section on Twentyfourteen theme"

I'm quite new to wordpress.
I try to remove Leave a Reply section from pages/posts with no luck.
-From Settings->Discussion menu, I uncheck Allow people to post comments on new articles, save changes.
That section is still there.
-I browse other posts on the same issue. The advice given is a bit intrusive, where we modify php files or create items on css file.
That means, every time I use another themes, I need to do it manually and I think that is not good.
Any idea ?
