jmerr59944 on "adding 4 button across width of homepage..."

Hi,
I am using a the Wordpress TwentyTen theme with the 2 column format on my homepage: biozphilly.org

We have four buttons, which we would like to span the entire width of the homepage. Is there a way to do this even with the 2 column format?

If not I would be willing to have the buttons in the footer, however, the buttons seem to lose some resolution while in the footer, how can I prevent this?
