meery24 on "Display Buddypress Avatar with Post"

I am using a TwentyFourteen child theme at myneedtowrite.com. I am trying to display the post author's buddypress avatar (and username) in the loop, beside their post. Is there a way to do this?

I used to used Frisco for Buddypress, and that theme automatically posted the avatar beside the post.
