rickyharline on "Site got vandalized, cannot access wp-admin"

Hey, all,

Went to my website today and saw that there was no CSS style applied. I then tried to login to wp-admin, and I got a 404 error. Logged in through FTP and discovered that my files were renamed/moved/deleted. The hoolagin fortunately seems to have left my content alone, so I have now restored the wp-includes and wp-admin folders.

Why is it that I cannot access the backend if I have restored the wp-admin folder? What could cause this? Thanks for your help.
