katejes on "Stretched Images on Slides in Maximize Theme"

Two problems with the slides in the Maximize theme:

1) The slides aren't sliding automatically. I have to manually click on the side arrow to get to the next slide. Is there a way to change that?

2) The images that I've been able to upload appear to be stretched on the slides and they are cut off on the right side when accessing the site on the iphone/ipad. (I thought it was supposed to be a "responsive" theme?) Is there a way to avoid this?
