daosplace on "Brute force attack crashed my site, and I've contacted my host."

Gday! My website Dao's Place suffered a brute force attack (I think) and I had 809,000 new approved messages showing on my pages. It was taking a few minutes for people to load each post, as there was so much junk on each page.

I couldn't seem to get any plugins to install so I had to manually delete these posts, 100 at a time, took me days! I also wasn't able to update to 3.5.1, it kept failing when I tried to update it.

Now I cannot login to my Wordpress site, I go to http://www.daosplace.com/blog/wp-login/ and when I put in my username and password, it just gets bogged and sits there loading for hours.

I've looked at this thread about brute force attacks and contacted my web host, they say that there is nothing blocking Wordpress at all. I've searched quite a few posts on this forum regarding this, and can't find any info specifically for this problem happening and not being able to be unblocked by the host.

Is there a way that a third-party is able to see if a site is blocked? Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I can do? I'd really like to get this fixed, as it's the blog I use for my motorcycle shop!

Also yes, I was using 'admin' as my login as that was the default one, it was only due to searches now that I realise that was a mistake. Also, I have a strong password.

Thanks!

Dao
