ravazzano on "ProPhoto 4 template and vertical expanding menu"

Hi,

I am using the ProPhoto 4 theme for Wordpress 3.6 and have been struggling with this issue for two days to no avail.

Because ProPhoto doesn't have the option to do this I'm trying to find a plugin that lets me make a vertical menu where the "Gallery" page can be clicked and will expand into the gallery sub-categories that I use ("Weddings", "Portraits", etc.)

With ProPhoto when you nest a menu item in a vertical menu it doesn't give the option of retracting the items so they're always showing.

I've tried jQuery Accordion and other plugins, but they require to create a custom menu so I tried to..

And when I try to drag the sub menus into "Galleries", it says "Sub Item" next to the gallery name; when I click save it returns to the un nested menu version so I can't use the jQuery plugin.

I don't really know what I'm talking about, maybe this is just an issue with the ProPhoto theme, does anyone know a way I can build a simple vertical menu that will expand the galleries when the link is clicked?

They don't encourage changing the theme file but have areas to enter your own html between the <head> tags, as well as CSS and custom javascript... but I don't know much about any of that :(

Thanks in advance.
