I have a very simple blog with just a few posts, and no plugins loaded and my page load times are very slow - especially slow for the the main page loading. Sometimes it takes 15 - 20 seconds... sometimes it goes to 30 seconds and times out.
I initially created the site using wordpress.com then did a "5 minute install" with Godaddy and imported the site into the self hosted environment. I'm still new with using wordpress and am sure this should be faster. Other content from this hosting account loads very fast. The blog is set up in a subdomain on the hosted site and points to the directory the WP install is located in.
Initially I did have a Poll Daddy plugin, but I have disabled it. Also I installed the P3 (plugin performance profiler) from Godaddy to see if it would shed any light on the slowness. This plugin seems to think my page load times are about 1-2 seconds, which is confusing to me.
I'm not sure what to look at or test to move forward at this point. Maybe I'm wrong, but I would expect a new clean WP install with under 10 posts to be very fast.
