I have been trying to add a static page to my site. I have 3 other sites and i have never had an issue. Under Appearance > Menus > Custom Links there used to be a link that said "add home page" this link no longer exists so i can no longer use that option. I then tried to just create my own custom link... I type in my url name it home... it shows up in the menu and looks correct... I then save and go to Settings > Reading > and when i go to select a static page the Home does not show up.
I then tried Appearance > Menus > Pages > View All > I select Home:Home it adds it to my menu with the correct url and called home... After saving it I try to set up a static page by going to Settings > Reading and once again home does not show up under the options for a static page. What am i doing wrong and can you please tell me how to do it properly. Thank you
