epony121 on "creating a new static page"

I have recently upgraded to 3.5.2. In my earlier version I was able to add a new static page (comments thread disabled) by simply un-checking 2 boxes underneath the text area.

Now there seems to be no way of creating a new static page, without a comments and discussion area at the bottom.

Newbie, please give a simple step-by-step account. Much appreciated ...
